Compute out-of-sample forecasts by default.

When presenting the dialogs from which you can SVAR determined how and when to forecast, the default setting is to calculate within-sample forecasts. By check marking this option you can revert that behavior into calculating out-of-sample forecasts by default. At run time, you can always select between them.

Default forecast horizon.

The default forecast horizon is used by historical forecast error decompositions and values between 1 and 5 years can be selected. The default value is 1 year. Note that this option does not affect the "Forecast Variables" and "Forecast Variable Transformation" functions, since these depend on setting up a forecast period and therefore have increasing forecast horizons.
